Since 1987, the CRP Henri Tudor contributes to the improvement and strengthening of the innovation capacity of enterprises and public organisations. The Health Care Technology department “CR SANTEC” is focused on the improvement of health care and social services by the use of innovative technologies (e.g. Telemonitoring, eHealth). SANTEC has a long-standing experience in biomedical research. The improvement of communication between health-professionals and patients is one of the core activities of the interdisciplinary research team. SANTEC researchers work on biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, medical imaging, ontologies and computer aided decision support as well as on the evaluation of health technologies and their impact on public health (e.g. clinical outcome, quality of life, health related costs). These activities are conducted in two research units: Advanced Health Informatics (AHI) and Biomedical Engineering and Public Health (BEPH).
SANTEC's activities attract researchers, engineers and students from multiple professional disciplines within the health care informatics domain. SANTEC's research and development competences can be categorized into one of the following areas listed below and are further enhanced by complementary expertise coming from our national or international partners.
